Become an expert in European cultures, languages, and societies with the University of Groningen’s dynamic BA in European Languages and Cultures (ETC). This three-year, full-time program equips you with a deep understanding of Europe’s rich tapestry through interdisciplinary studies, language immersion, and cultural exploration.
Unpack Europe’s Complexity: Explore the political, social, and cultural landscapes of Europe, examining historical developments, contemporary issues, and diverse perspectives.
Master a European Language: Choose from eight offered languages (Dutch as a second language, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish) and achieve near-native proficiency through intensive language courses and potential study abroad opportunities.

Admissions Requirements
