Are you eager to work on solutions for a more sustainable use and management of land and water? Then consider opting for the BSc programme International Land and Water Management! This programme addresses problems of drought, erosion and floods, which put food production at risk in large parts of the world. You will combine knowledge of engineering, social and natural sciences, study the roles of various stakeholders and design land and water management improvement plans. The area of research covers the whole world.
Why this programme?
- Technical and social: students learn about the engineering, socio-economic, physical and policy aspects of land and water management, making our graduates well-rounded and versatile professionals.
- International: Look at regions all over the world that struggle with land and water management problems, such as floods, water shortage, erosion or land degradation. From Thailand to Ethiopia and from Peru to the Netherlands.
- Third year bachelor’s students do an international internship and research project of their choice.
Notes
Reduced EU Tuition Fee (50%): students without a Dutch bachelor’s degree who enrol in 2023-2024 for the first time in higher education in the Netherlands as a student.
Application deadline for EU students is June 15.
Submit application documents in Osiris application portal (non-EU until May 1 and EU until July 1).
Admissions Requirements
Secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to the Dutch pre-university diploma. Subject requirements: You should have studied mathematics and physics.
