You will learn all the various aspects of playing the instrument, and acquire improvisational, artistic and technical skills, as well as an advanced level of theoretical knowledge. You will also receive tuition in choral conducting, chamber music, and a number of specialised church music subjects.MASTER’S PROGRAMME WITH PROFESSIONAL FOCUSThe Master’s programme includes training in children’s choir direction, and you will receive practical experience at church services. The practical church service experience is organised in co-operation with the Pastoral Seminary, which also provides practical training for Danish church ministers. This is designed to provide you with a solid foundation to prepare you for your professional musical life, in close collaboration with the profession for which you are being trained.ACTIVE TEACHERSAll of the Academy’s organ teachers are active professional church musicians employed by local churches, and undertake considerable international concert activities. As a student of the organ, you will have many opportunities to accompany vocal and instrumental ensembles, and if you possess special skills on the harpsichord, you will also be able to participate in the early music milieu at the Academy.
