The MSPE programme is a two-year programme divided into four semesters. The main focus lies on power plant technology and power generation.In the first semester, higher fundamentals in electrical and mechanical engineering are taught, including thermodynamics, energy systems and energy economy, and high voltage technology. A lab in energy systems is included. In the second and third semester, further mandatory and elective courses including subjects such as renewable energy technologies, thermal separation processes, energy storage, and civil engineering are offered. In addition, lab courses, interdisciplinary subjects and seminars are part of the programme. Students also carry out a nine-week research internship at one of the participating institutes in the second or third semester.The programme is concluded with the Master’s thesis which is carried out during the fourth semester.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in a related field. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency. The application deadline for non-EU students is May 31.
