Music Therapy

During the Music Therapy programme at the ArtEZ School of Music in Enschede, there are three main study aspects: deepening musical competences, learning to apply music therapeutic competences more systematically and gaining research skills.During the Master’s programme, you will develop your advanced musical knowledge and skills relating to the professional practice of music therapy. The focus is on the concept of (per)forming identity. You will follow courses such as music (therapeutic) improvisation and music technology. An important part of this process is the music therapy counselling. You will also work on an individual musical project, i.e. an innovative specialised project or a Community art project. These projects offer the opportunity to improve your own management and entrepreneurial competences as well as your musical competences.
