A construction project is a vehicle to bring about change. A built environment professional with responsibility for the construction and maintenance of e.g. roads, houses, airports, schools and hospitals needs to manage various vital resources for this change to happen, such as cost, time, people and materials. At the intersection between technology and management, the overall aim of the programme is to train you to manage projects in a built environment context.To work as manager in the built environment sector means having knowledge on construction specific elements like technical, environmental, legal, and contractual demands. You will also be trained in skills needed to manage projects involving knowledge on project management methods, financial accounting methods, Building Information Modeling (BIM), logistics, quality management, strategic management, and, real estate and facility management. The strong collaborative characteristics of the construction industry, where projects are carried out in temporary and interdisciplinary project organizations supported by networks of colleagues, also needs training and knowledge related to organizational culture, leadership, communication, team work, decision making, collaborative relations, and knowledge and learning.As a complement to your engineering degree, this programme offers a possibility to acquire competencies required to perform on a high professional level in the construction and built environment sector.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture, Architecture and Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Surveying or Industrial Engineering and Management.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application period for non EU students is from October 16 to January 15.
