Shape the future of everyday objects with Kingston University’s prestigious BA (Hons) in Product & Furniture Design. This three-year, full-time program equips you with the creative and technical skills to become a versatile product and furniture designer, fostering innovation, user-centered design principles, and a deep understanding of the entire design process.

- Design Thinking and User Focus: Develop a human-centered design approach, learning to empathize with users, identify user needs, and translate them into innovative and user-friendly products and furniture.
- Concept Development and Prototyping: Hone your ability to translate ideas into tangible designs. Learn sketching, ideation techniques, rapid prototyping methods (3D printing, laser cutting, etc.), and user testing to refine your designs.
- Technical Expertise: Gain a solid foundation in product and furniture design principles, materials science, manufacturing processes, and sustainability considerations. Master industry-standard design software for 3D modeling, technical drawing, and potentially explore traditional woodworking techniques.

For non-EU students it is recommended to apply before the deadline.
Application deadline for EU students is mid January.
Location: Kingston School of Art, Knights Park.
Tuition fee for UK students is €10,850.
Admissions Requirements
American High School / Secondary School Diploma with minimum of 3.0 GPA.
Additional requirements:
SAT Subject test in above subject area, with a score of 550+
OR: Honours class credits or college credits in the subject areas, with a score of B.
Students with the Diploma but no AP work, SAT Subject scores, Honours class or College Credits may apply for a Foundation programme
Portfolio in digital format, 15-20 pages in length and show us the four values of questioning, curiosity, technical ability, and enthusiasm.
