Craft the future of sound and become a pioneer in electronic music with Goldsmiths’ innovative BMus or BSc program in Electronic Music, Computing and Technology. This three-year, full-time program offers a unique blend of artistic exploration and technical expertise, shaping you into a versatile electronic musician with the skills to push sonic boundaries.
Choose Your Path:
- Bachelor of Music (BMus): Focus on developing your artistic voice and compositional skills within the electronic music realm. Delve deeper into music theory, performance techniques, and creative sound design while mastering industry-standard music production software.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc): Emphasize the technical aspects of electronic music production and delve into the science of sound. Gain a strong foundation in computer programming, digital signal processing, and interactive audio alongside honing your music production and composition skills.
Project-Based Learning:
- Develop your creative and technical skills through engaging electronic music projects. Create original compositions, participate in collaborative projects, and explore innovative uses of technology in music creation.
Professional Preparation:
- Gain the knowledge and skills necessary to launch your career in the dynamic field of electronic music. Learn about artist management, self-promotion strategies, copyright and licensing issues, and career paths within various electronic music industries.

Notes
The normal closing date is 26 January, but some courses will accept applications until 30 June. You are advised to apply as early as possible as courses have limited places.
Tuition fee for UK students is €10,750.
Admissions Requirements
A high school diploma with a GPA 3.3 or higher (unweighted) with grades of A and B in honours or advanced-level courses, advanced placement (AP) classes, HL/SL IB certificates, or dual enrollment within the context of your high school’s curriculum.
A high school diploma with a GPA 3.0 or higher (unweighted) plus one of the following:
ACT with a composite score of 26,
or two advanced placement (AP) tests with a score of 3 or higher,
or SAT 1240 overall (with a minimum of 580 in Math and 620 in Evidence-based Reading and Writing)
Additional requirements:
An A-level, or equivalent, qualification in Music or Music Technology is preferred, although we also accept applicants without a formal qualification in music who can demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience.
You should also normally have at least Grade B/Grade 6 at GCSE Mathematics.
Admission is by interview and/or by submission of a portfolio. The portfolio should include two tracks of original music. These should demonstrate your music production and composition skills. The tracks are best sent as links for download or online streaming. Feel free to make use of online services for this purpose such as Dropbox, YouTube or Soundcloud.
