The master’s degree in biotechnology at MCI Innsbruck is aimed at motivated bioscientists who want to apply their knowledge in the development of products. Building on relevant fields of study such as biotechnology or biology, students are enabled to understand, work on and optimize biotechnological processes from the genetic basis to the product. Graduates of the master’s degree work at the interface of technology and natural sciences.Biotechnology uses principles and structures from living nature for technical processes and products. With enormous growth potential and professional development opportunities, it is one of the key industries of the 21st century. On the one hand, this is due to the progress made in biomedical research, and on the other hand to the chemical industry in order to make processes more environmentally friendly or more efficient.
