Students are given cross-curricular knowledge in the computer-oriented sub-areas of mathematics, computer science, astronomy, physics, chemistry and biology.Through the use of appropriate science and mathematical and informal tools, the present problem-specific problem is to be translated into a computer algorithm. This methodological approach allows by appropriate computer experiments the complexity of analyzing contemporary issues in all its specific aspects and illustrate the influence of system parameters comprising the results. This results in a state of training that goes beyond the expertise of a team of specialists.At the same time, the students are required to have solid basic knowledge in the individual subjects as well as the mastery of the theoretical fundamentals and their translation into the computer-language context. In this way, the subject-specific competence gained in the Bachelor’s degree undergoes a widening which takes account of the interdisciplinarity increasingly required nowadays and therefore offers a corresponding professional advantage.
