This modern and competitive study program at EPFL prepares students for the multidisciplinary nature of environmental engineering problems and educates future engineers to address the complexities and uncertainties of natural and engineered systems. This Master’s program focuses on environmental engineering in natural systems where solutions must be developed under conditions of incomplete information, spatial heterogeneity, and uncertainty.The Master’s degree in Environmental sciences and engineering offers a wide range of courses grouped in three specializations:-Environmental chemistry and bioprocess engineering-Natural water, soil and ecosystems engineering-Environmental monitoring and modelingIt is also possible to follow specializations in which environmental sciences are involved, such as courses on the development of regional and urban planning, on energy or biotechnology.
