Media technologists research and develop new processes, algorithms and products for the production, processing, transmission, storage and reproduction of media content. This includes, for example, professional video and audio technology, three-dimensional virtual worlds, interactive television, human-machine communication, development of Internet applications, e-learning, games or mobile data services.The course is consecutive and builds on the seven-semester Bachelor course Media Technology or Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or other engineering and natural science courses. The course is a combination of media technology, IT, design and production as well as interfaces to media economics and media studies. Internships and projects are an integral part of the course and allow application-oriented training based on numerous contacts with business and research institutions.The interdisciplinary course media technology builds on a solid media technology basic knowledge and qualifies in a special way for the management of projects in companies, independent activities with managerial responsibility or activities in research and development. Another interesting perspective is a doctorate.
