Profile
Our aim is to inspire and develop your personal artistry as well as your aesthetics. Your own dedicated work and your own conscious choices will be key factors. Your own compositional work will also be focused upon in your studies. We embrace open attitudes, curiousness, personal reflexion and creativity. We try, in all our work, also to look beyond musical styles and tradition. Our education programmes within the improvised music field offer an international study environment, giving the student good networking possibilities and rich experiences. The student’s independent project is a major part of the second year of the programme. Our Master Program in Music, with specialization in Improvisation Performance is also available as a joint study program together with the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo (NMH), and the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen (RMC).
