Specialized Translation

The 2nd cycle degree programme in Specialised translation provides for the training of a professional with excellent translation skills, in particular regarding specialist terminologies (technological, legal, economic, commercial, medical-pharmacological, computer, multimedia and other) and with terminological and terminographic skills, and also knowledge of the publishing world, based on an in-depth linguistic and cultural preparation. These skills are specifically addressed to corporations, companies, institutions and public and private bodies, both national and international, and can be used in teaching and research.For the specified purposes the 2nd cycle degree programme includes, in addition to an in-depth study of the translation principles, activities devoted to the amelioration of the skills in Italian and in other study languages, activities aimed at the acquisition of the translation techniques specific to the chosen sector, activities devoted to the acquisition of skills regarding stylistic choices and those for the analysis of speeches in various methods of implementation; activities devoted to the acquisition of techniques for documentation, writing, editing and revision of texts.
