The sector of modern aviation is global, dynamic and continuously growing. At the same time, it is also one of the most competitive industry in the world. Modern civil aviation deals not only with technical issues of passenger and cargo transportation, but increasingly more attention is paid to the quality of services, timeliness, strategic planning and modern management. In response to global trends and challenges facing the aviation industry, Kazimieras Simonavicius University offers undergraduate (Bachelor’s) degree Aviation Management program that aims to develop highly qualified professionals in the field of modern aviation management who would understand the challenges and laws of the global and competitive aviation sector, and contribute to the aviation industry development.
Aviation management is based on a multi-disciplinary competence framework and includes the following major general and specific areas: strategic management, personnel management, marketing, project management, methods of forecasting and revenue management, finance and economics, operations management, logistics and freight transportation by air, intermodal transportation, aviation industry, organisations of aviation sector and organisation management, aviation business models, environmental protection, air transport policy and regulation, aviation law, aviation politics, air traffic control, operations and management of airlines, planning and management of airports, tourism management, etc.
