It’s designed so that you study mathematics, biology and education in an integrated manner. Throughout the course you will gain teaching experience through structured educational placements.
The four-year BSc Biology, Mathematics & Education leads directly to the one-year MSc Mathematics and Science Education. On completion of both degrees, you are fully qualified to teach post-primary Biology and Mathematics to Higher Level Leaving Certificate Level and Science to Junior Certificate Level.
The five-year course is fully accredited by the Teaching Council of Ireland.

EU Fee status and the Free Fees Initiative: Under the terms of the Free Fees Initiative, the Irish Exchequer will pay tuition fees to the University on behalf of students registered for the first time on qualifying, full-time, undergraduate degree programmes. Such programmes must be of a minimum duration of 2 years.
The Student Contribution Charge for undergraduate students who qualify for ‘free fees’ is €3,000.
EU closing date for normal applications: February 1
EU closing date for late applications: May 1
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma without standardized exams 4.0 / 4.0 GPA or with standardized exams 3.33 / 4.0 GPA and 1100 SAT or 22 ACT.
Additional requirements: Math 600 in maths section of SAT or 26 in maths ACT or 3 in AP Calc or Stats or C in college/university math class. Lab Science B in senior year HS course or 2 in AP Lab Science subject or C in college/university math class.
