Profile
The Bachelor’s Degree Program in Chemistry and Chemical Technology (formerly Technical Chemistry) serves the vocational training of engineering and science-oriented chemists. The program should give you broad expertise in the different areas of chemistry, chemical technologies, and process engineering. It thus forms the basis for a further relevant master’s program or for your direct entry into professions with a chemical-technological orientation. The bachelor’s program is predominantly based on the principle of research-based learning and research-led teaching. In addition to an extensive background in the field of technical chemistry, you will be taught particular problem-solving skills. A big focus is on teamwork. In small groups, you learn to understand and solve theoretical and practical problems, and to interpret and analyze measured values.
