Sound design plays a crucial role in elevating the gaming experience, shaping emotional narratives and adding dynamic impact. This specialist course provides valuable insights into sound design, composition, and dialogue, preparing you to work effectively in this creative field.
You will develop skills in sourcing original sound through various techniques, including Foley-style recording, synthesis, and capturing location-specific sounds. Music composition within gaming can vary from traditional orchestration and arrangement to abstract, electronic, or urban styles, and you will have the opportunity to explore these approaches.
