Profile
The program is four years long and leads to a Bachelor of Engineering degree. In the first two years, all students take the same courses. In the third and fourth years, students choose a major option, such as Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Robotic Engineering. Students also complete a Cooperative Education placement, which is an eight-month internship.
Here are some of the key features of the program:
- A strong focus on practical engineering skills, with students gaining hands-on experience in laboratory and design projects.
- A team-based approach to learning, with students working on projects together to develop their problem-solving and communication skills.
- A wide range of elective modules in areas such as emerging technologies, engineering management, and sustainable engineering.
- Opportunities for students to participate in international exchanges and internships.
The programme can be undertaken as either a four-year (Bachelor of Engineering, BEng) degree programme or a five-year (Master of Engineering, MEng) degree programme. All students would initially enter the BEng degree programme route, and can either graduate with a BEng degree at the end of the fourth year of study or have the option to continue into the fifth year Masters degree by transferring into the MEng degree programme at the end of the fourth year rather than graduating with a BEng degree.
