The BA (Hons) Film Production course at Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is designed for students passionate about creating and producing films. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers all stages of production, from concept to post-production, emphasizing technical expertise, creative storytelling, and hands-on practice. Students have access to industry-standard equipment and bespoke studios, as well as opportunities for collaborative projects with other creative disciplines. With a focus on both artistic development and professional skills, the course prepares graduates for a wide range of careers in the film industry.
Throughout the course, students gain practical experience by working on films, which they can showcase in their portfolios. Notes
For direct admission, prospective applicants are urged to follow a college preparatory programme in high school, taking a senior course in fine or applied art where possible.
All undergraduate courses at AUB offer an optional placement year (€2,230), to be taken between your second and third years of study.
Tuition fee for UK and home students is €11,500.
Application deadline via UCAS is January 29th.
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a GPA of 3.0 or above, portfolio, in-person audition and/or interview plus one of the following:
- Two AP exam results with a grade of 3 or higher
- SAT I (Reasoning) scores of at least 1100
- SAT II subject tests in at least two subjects with minimum scores of 600
- Two or more IB Diploma Programme Courses
- ACT test results in at least two subjects with minimum scores of 24
- Successful completion of an accredited Associate’s Degree
- Successful completion of first year (freshman year) of University at an accredited University
- Successful completion of a recognised Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Studies.
