Profile
As is true with many degrees in the Liberal Arts, history provides an education and not specialized job training. History majors learn how to analyze problems and develop skills in research and writing as well as in the organization and critical assessment of data. History majors learn to think critically and creatively about the narratives we create of our own past and how that affects what we might do in the present. The skills of critical analysis and clarity of expression acquired by History majors make them an increasingly desirable commodity in our global world.
