The Bachelor’s programme New Media Design offers you unique opportunities to work in the world of digital media. The programme combines graphic design, web development, interaction design and marketing communication to give you the multidisciplinary knowledge demanded by this exciting growth industry.
The programme is open to applicants from around the world, and the teaching is carried out in English.The programme provides both theoretical and practical knowledge within graphic design and visual communication. Typography, image composition, chromatics and basic design principles are combined with practical experience in software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.The programme will give you the knowledge and skills to design and develop interactive web applications for various devices and platforms, with a clear focus on usability. You will learn techniques including HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as developing and adapting database-driven publication tools such as WordPress.
The programme also includes courses in information architecture and interaction design.The programme provides a sound basis in project management and group dynamics, with a focus on an international job market. You will study courses in marketing, giving you the basics of marketing communication and the strategic use of e.g. social media and other electronic tools for analyses, trend prediction and marketing to communicate a message. You will also acquire the basic knowledge needed to start your own business and learn how to sell yourself and present your work in the best way.
