The space sector is enjoying exceptional growth, with increasing demand for suitably qualified graduates. Satellites play a key role in navigation, communication, and space exploration. This course is primarily a Physics degree that also provides an introduction to the applications of Physics in Astrophysics and Space Science. Students gain an understanding of how ground-based and space-based technologies are used to explore the universe. Astronomers pursue knowledge and understanding of the underlying processes at work in the universe through physics. The core of the degree is therefore an Institute of Physics accredited honors BSc qualification.

The Student Contribution Charge is €2,000.Please note that to be eligible for the Free Fees scheme students must first qualify for the EU fee rate. Application deadline for EU students is February 1.
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma without standardized exams 4.0 / 4.0 GPA or with standardized exams 3.33 / 4.0 GPA and 1100 SAT or 22 ACT. Additional requirements: Math 600 in math section of SAT or 26 in math ACT or 3 in AP Calc or Stats or C in college/university math class. Lab Science B in senior year HS course or 2 in AP Lab Science subject or C in college/university math class.
