This four-year, full-time program equips you with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to become a compassionate and qualified social care practitioner.

Become a Changemaker: Develop a critical understanding of social issues and inequalities. Learn how to advocate for vulnerable individuals and communities and promote social justice within a person-centered approach.

Develop Your Skills: Master essential social care skills like communication, active listening, critical thinking, problem-solving, and cultural competency. Hone your ability to build rapport, assess needs, and provide support to individuals from diverse backgrounds facing various social challenges.

Level 7 Qualification: Upon successful completion of year three, you achieve a Level 7 qualification, which is approved by CORU, Ireland’s health and social care regulatory body. This allows you to seek employment in some social care settings while you complete the Honours year.

Notes
The Student Contribution Charge for EU students is €3,000. EU tuition may be covered by the Free Fees Initiative. EU-Nationals, who are repeating a full year of study, must pay tuition fees.
Application deadline for EU students is February 1.
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 and ACT with a minimum score of 23 or SATS with a minimum score 1140. It is required from applicants to have completed 4 years of English, at least 3 years of Math (4 years recommended) at least 2 years of History/Social Science and a language and at least 2 years of a laboratory science subject (4 years recommended). Specific subjects may be required for entry into certain courses.
