The students acquire, in addition to general competences in the field of wood science and engineering, specific competences in the technological design of both art and modern furniture, as well as of other finished wooden products (doors, windows, musical instruments, toys, packaging, sports items and so forth.). Other competences target technical and technological knowledge in the field of timber and wood-based composites, as well as in the field of furniture preservation-restoration. Organizing and managing the manufacturing processes in the industry of furniture and finished wooden products complements the future engineer’s specialized training.
